I am super excited to say that I received one of the guidebooks in the mail from my publisher on 9/22/2016, the first day of Fall! I have been thrilled ever since at how great it looks and feels. First of all, it is HUGE! It is almost 5 times as thick as the first edition guide. The layout, color, maps, photos, and text all came out looking so good. I must say, with bias of course, that I think that this is one of the best guides ever produced! Super thanks to Dan Brayack for all of his layout, color, and photo editing expertise!
Anyway, for those who pre-paid and pre-ordered the guides, we had 40 of them airmailed to us from the printers. They are here now and are being distributed to the folks who pre-paid and pre-ordered. Also, a few have been sent to several contributors.
As far as the rest of the guides are concerned, they should arrive at the end of October. We had 3000 of them printed and they are coming in on 8 pallets! So, once they get here, my publisher will begin distributing to retailers and people who order online. This means that they should be in the stores (or in the mailbox for orders) by the end of November or early December. So, if you haven't done so already, begin asking your retailer to order some guides from Dan Brayack.
One of the quickest ways for you to get a guide is to order them from our website. Just go to www.brayackmedia.com and order the guide.
Lastly, thanks everyone for hanging in there for me. I know that this guide is about 2+ years behind schedule for the release date, but all of the extra time that was taken to edit it made it so much better than it would have been. I feel that this guide is one of the best ever made and I hope you will too! Enjoy your new guide this season and once the new and updated problems begin rolling in, post them on this blog. I will update this blog to the new information and will then use it for the 3rd edition in the future!
I wish you all the best and have a great winter bouldering season!
God Bless, Chris
